One of the quarterly trainings we had was on how to relate to individuals of other cultures. This was a very helpful training. In fact, I am sharing the principles with our witnessing team at church.

Positive Experiences

I have only been on three ride-alongs, but each time has been a positive experience. Twice with one officer who is a Christian, and once with an officer that was a rookie.

Knifing of a social worker

September 17th, 2007 by Rich

One of my first call-outs was the knifing of the a social worker. It was my responsibility to go to the hospital and be with the husband of the victim.

When I arrived the husband did not know much other than his wife had multiple knife wounds. I still remember when the surgeon arrived to describe the surgery. It was a miracle that the victim was alive. I was so glad I could be with the husband to encourage him.

I visited the husband two other times at the hospital. He was having some problems dealing with some of the visitors and family members and I was able to give him some godly counsel.
